Love Yourself is a community of volunteers that advocates for HIV awareness. With over 1,100 volunteers from various sectors of society, Love Yourself provides HIV education campaigns, and HIV testing, counseling, treatment and life coaching. Since its founding in 2011, it has helped and reached out to over 24,000 individuals and has contributed 17% to the Department of Health’s report of newly diagnosed Persons Living with HIV nationwide. At the helm of Love Yourself is Ronivin Pagtakhan, a registered nurse in the Philippines and in the US, who is a robust advocate for the preservation of self-worth and dignity. Vinn is an awardee for his youth and humanitarian leadership of the Ten Outstanding Young Man of the Philippines and Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World.
Philippine Advocates for Road Safety (PARS) was formed by Eric Lazarte and Freddie Lopez in their desire to educate society about the need for every individual to do their part in ensuring road traffic safety. PARS spearheads education campaigns on pedestrian lane rules, road etiquette for cyclists and motorcycle safety. The mission of PARS is to reduce road deaths and injuries, and ensure that members of society can go about their daily commutes in a safe and healthy way. The Red Whistle is a campaign founded in 2011 as a response to the alarming situation of HIV and AIDS in the Philippines. A collaborative platform for individuals to come together and show support for Persons Living with HIV, The Red Whistle aims to increase awareness on HIV and AIDS and battle the stigma and fear that surround it, and to facilitate access and referral to HIV services and support. The Red Whistle was founded in 2011 by award-winning photographer, Niccolo Cosme, who is staunch supporter of LGBT rights and environmental activism.
2030 Youth Force in the Philippines, Inc. spearheads the awareness, involvement and activation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals in the country. The Youth Force focuses on peacebuilding and strengthening youth capacities for participation in decision-making.
The Vapers Philippines is one of the biggest e-cigarette consumer organizations in the Philippines. It is a member of the Coalition of Asia Pacific Tobacco Harm Reduction Advocates (CAPHRA) and the International Network of Nicotine Consumer Organizations (INNCO). The group aims to promote evidence-based regulation of electronic cigarettes and other similar harm-reduced products. Its objective is to have the government employ tobacco harm reduction measures in its fight against cigarette smoking.
